Today, March 25, 2008, Chalicefire is one month old having been started on February 25, 2008.
To date Chalicefire has had 433 different visitors who have visited the blog 881 times for a daily average of 28.42 visits. During those visits there have been 1926 page views.
Pullman Memorial Universalist Church is a small congregration in Albion, NY which has an average church attendance of about 25 per week so it is interesting that PMUC is making its presence known to the outside world. It is hoped that making the presence of church known more people will take advantage of and contribute to what it has to offer its members, its community and the world.
Thank you for your visits, for your comments, and for your ongoing support.

:Thank you for your visits, for your comments,
Dare I say, "you`re welcome" David? ;-)
Actually I would like to personally thank you, and the other members of Pullman Memorial Universalist Church who are responsible for creating and maintaining the Chalicefire blog, for allowing me to post comments that are critical of some of the failings of the U*U religious community and, so far. . . not relegating any of the comments that I have to the U*U "memory hole". Unitarian*Universalists claim to be "opposed to censorship by church, state or any other institution" but in my experience I have found that many U*Us, including U*U clergy and UUA adminstrators totally disregard that claimed ideal of U*Uism. In fact, as you may already understand, Montreal Unitarians have repeatedly misused and abused the Canadian Criminal Code and Montreal municipal bylaws in deeply misguided, outrageously hypocritical and, so far. . . utterly futile attempts to impose U*U "church" censorship on my peaceful public protest against the anti-religious intolerance and bigotry of some fundamentalist atheist "Humanist" U*Us and other U*U injustices, abuses and hypocrisy. So thank you all once again for not censoring my comments.
Best Regards,
Robin Edgar
Hi Robin:
I want to send you an email to thank you for your comments. I have not been able to find an email address for you, though.
I have appreciated your comments on Chalicefire and I am sorry for the discrimination you have experienced.
All the best,
David Markham
kfpeI could be mistaken David but I believe that this may well be the first time that a Unitarian*Universalist has stated that they "appreciated" my critical comments posted to their blog. Interestingly enough I have been sensing a somewhat increased openness to my comments from some other U*U bloggers in the last few months. Could it be that the times they are a changin` in the U*U World?
Thank you for openly acknowledging that I have been subjected to discrimination by Unitarian*Universalists. I am still waiting for the UUA and the Unitarian Church of Montreal to finally get around to living up to the claimed principles and purposes of U*Uism and responsibly acknowledging the religious discrimination and harassment and related injustuces and abuses that I have been subjected to. . . Would that the Quebec Human Rights Commission had responsibly done so years ago. Believe it or not, the agent of the QHRC who was assigned to handle my complaint against Rev. Ray Drennan and the Unitarian Church of Montreal repeatedly insisted that the anti-religious intolerance and bigotry, and related discrimination and harassment described in my complaint, was "not discrimination" in his meetings with me. I do believe that it would have been best for pretty much everyone involved in this prolonged war of words if the Quebec Human Rights Commission had done its job properly instead of inexplicably refusing to bring my complaint before Quebec`s human rights tribunal after the Unitarian Church of Montreal rejected the option of QHRC mediation of the dispute.

When the UUA and the Unitarian Church of Montreal are ready to say "sorry for the discrimination you have experienced" this conflict will be well on its way to being resolved. I am hoping that when Rev. Diane Rollert fails to obtain the restraining order that she is seeking on extremely questionable grounds that are in the process of being thoroughly questioned, that the Unitarian Church of Montreal and-or the UUA will throw in the proverbial towel and agree to engage in the dialogue and responsible conflict resolution measures that I have been seeking for years now. I may even send them a towel to throw in. ;-) In the unlikely event that Rev. Rollert and the Unitarian Church of Montreal succeed in obtaining that quite unjustified restraining order it will only further prolong this conflict by the duration of the restraining order and then some. . . I am very confident that I will be able to convince the judge that Rev. Diane Rollert not only does not have reasonable grounds to fear that I will cause a serious personal injury offence but that I actually have more reasonable grounds for such fear in that I have already had threats made against me by Montreal Unitarians and have even been subjected to some comparatively minor assaults by Montreal Unitarians on a few occasions. I look forward tom presenting my defence on May 30th.
Best Regards,
Robin Edgar
Just to be clear, I will say that even though I actually do have some genuinely reasonable grounds to fear that a Montreal Unitarian might one day commit a serious personal injury offence against me, I do not really have much fear that this will actually happen, although it is obviously something that I do have to keep in the back of my mind. I do believe that it within possibility that U*U COP might have been secretly hoping that I would get hit by a car or bus as I tried to retrieve my picket signs that he repeatedly threw into the street in front of the Unitarian Church of Montreal.
Thanks is all to you Dave.
Congratulations on Chalicefire! Rodney and I enjoy checking in with the site regularly, and we especially enjoyed being able to meet many of the wonderful members of Pullman this past Sunday. Keep up the great work!
