Thoreau, Gandhi, King and Satygraha - nonviolent action to change the world

James Ford has a wonderful article on his blog, Monkey Mind, reminding us of the Salt Satyagraha which began 78 years ago today in 1930 when Gandhi began his nonviolent movement to free India from British colonialism.

Gandhi credits part of his ideas of nonviolent action to Thoreau's short book on Civil Disobedience. Latter, Martin Luther King, Jr. credited his nonviolent approach to both Gandhi and Thoreau.

Rev. Ford's article is well worth reading and you can go to his article by clicking here.
